Don’t Miss A Christmas Carol at Trinity Rep

Is it the holidays in Rhode Island if you have not seen A Christmas Carol at Trinity Rep? This year’s production runs through December 30, and tickets are still available for many performances.

This year’s production features resident acting company member Stephen Thorne as Ebenezer Scrooge and is directed by Mark Valdez. Of this year’s production Valdez says, “This is my chance to be a part of this legacy in theater and it has meaning for a lot of people. I want to be a part of that.”

In keeping with their tradition of working with local community groups to bring the community together, this year’s production features 56 different choirs from all over the state. “This show means something to the state,” says Valdez, “and it’s such a beautiful thing to me.”  In addition to the different choirs, this production has all the elements fans have grown to love; scary ghosts flying in the air, snow falling magically on the stage and an adorable Tiny Tim.
