Celebrate RI Pride: Saturday, June 16th

Throughout the day on Saturday, June 16th, Downtown Providence hosts RI PrideFest, themed Louder and Prouder! Download the digital Pride Guide for everything you need to know.

Find the main stage across the river on South Water Street, with live entertainment scheduled from noon to 7 PM. Check out the schedule here. Admission is $1 (as a suggested donation), and all are welcome! Dozens of businesses, food trucks, non-profit organizations will be on-hand to share information, sell snacks, and celebrate the state’s LGBTQIA+ community. Youth are invited to participate in special activities, while those who are 21+ can relax in the beer, wine, and spirits garden.

Following the performances, come back to the downtown core for the 43rd Annual RI Pride Illuminated Night Parade. It starts at 8:15 PM by City Hall, with prime viewing areas set up along the route. Cheer on the floats, bands, and other participants along Washington Street between Union and Empire streets, Empire Street between Washington and Weybosset, and near the Providence Performing Arts Center on Weybosset. See the map for the parade route and related street closures, and don’t forget that on-street parking meters are enforced on Saturdays between 8 AM and 9 PM!

Other events are planned throughout the weekend–including block parties on Snow Street by the Dark Lady and Alley Cat and on Mathewson (between Fountain and Washington), as well as afterparties at the Colosseum and EGO on Sunday.

Find RI Pride on Facebook for more details, and visit the city’s website for info about street closures.
