Great spots to warm up this winter.

Downtown Providence is a beautiful place to visit all year long, and the fun doesn’t stop in the winter. Whether visiting the neighborhood to shop, watch a Bruins game, take in a show, or go ice skating, there is plenty to do, even when the temperature has dropped. And there are plenty of places to warm up when you need a break from the cold.

Here is a round up of some cozy places to warm up in Downtown Providence.

Bolt Coffee Company
Located in the hip lobby of The Dean Hotel, Bolt offers specialty coffee made with care and locally baked goods. Convenient to The Dunk, Providence Public Library, and Trinity Repertory Company.

Ellie’s Bakery
The sister restaurant for the iconic fine dining restaurant Gracie’s, Ellie’s is a bakery inspired by Parisian life. Located in the Biltmore Garage, Ellie’s is known for having some of the city’s best macarons.

Morsel’s Café
Located inside the Omni Hotel, Morsel’s is and easy stop for those staying at the Omni, heading to The Dunk or the Convention Center, or finishing up ice skating or shopping.

New Harvest Coffee & Spirits
Located on Weybosset Street inside the historic Arcade, New Harvest roasts their beans locally and sources them from fair trade producers. They also have a bar that offers cocktails and whiskey flights.

Small Point Café
Nestled in the heart of Downcity, Small Point Café offers organic coffee, freshly baked goods and delicious sandwiches. A favorite among residents, Small Point is perfectly located for a shopping break along Westminster Street.
