Get involved in the City Walk project

Join the City of Providence Department of Planning & Development for the first community meeting about City Walk on Tuesday, November 28th! Meet at the South Side Cultural Center, 393 Broad Street, from 6-8 PM. Learn about the current vision for this project which aims to improve connections between 9 city neighborhoods, the downtown district, Roger Williams Park, and India Point Park. It should connect residents across the city and celebrate the city’s diversity and culture while improving the safety and overall experience for pedestrians and cyclists.

Share your ideas about the future of the corridor, which includes Broad Street, Clifford Street through the former I-195 land, and Friendship and Pine streets through Upper South Providence. Spanish translation will be provided. Find more information on the city’s website, and visit the Facebook event page for updates. Future meetings will tentatively be scheduled in spring and fall 2018 offering more opportunities for you to hear updates, comment on designs, and share your vision.
