For the second year, PRONK! is starting downtown! Local organizers bring in brass bands from out of town to play music, connect with audiences, and take over the streets.
The festival kicks off at 2:30 PM on Monday, October 10th in Burnside Park with local bands What Cheer? Brigade, ERB, and Kickin Brass, and it’s followed by short sets from bands based in Brooklyn, Detroit, Austin, Somerville, MA and Marseille, France. At 4:15, everyone will line up for the parade, which will wind its way down Exchange Street, over the Crawford Street Bridge, and down South Water Street toward Hot Club at 5 PM. See the full schedule and lineup here!
PRONK! is free, family friendly, and open to everyone. It’s a grassroots, neighborhood event, supported by hundreds of partners. Find out how you can support it here, and visit Facebook for updates.
