Experience the premiere of Providence-based contemporary dance company Doppelganger Dance Collective’s “The Trail We Left Behind” in Kennedy Plaza! Performances are planned for 12:30 PM and 5:15 PM on Tuesday, August 9th and 10 AM and 5:15 PM on Thursday, August 11th.

Created by Rhode Island native Kellie Ann Lynch, “The Trail We Left Behind” will transform the plaza with unexpected and surprising movement and sound. It will be performed by dancers Shura Baryshniknov and Danielle Davidson, and accompanied by musician Caitlin School’s original electronic and vocal score.

The performance is coordinated by the Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy, the public-private partnership that is responsible for stewardship and programming of Greater Kennedy Plaza. DPPC’s larger summer schedule includes concerts, children’s programming, a farmers market, and other activities. By introducing free performances to the community, the DPPC demonstrates the vitality that’s possible in multi-use public spaces.
