Get ready to run with the bulls! For the fourth year, Amos House is organizing Get Gored for Good: The Providence Running of the Bulls on Sunday, April 24th. When you register, you’ll choose a challenging 5K route or a shorter 1.5 mile route with fun obstacles for all ages and abilities. Either way, while you walk or run, you’ll be chased by women from the Providence Roller Derby, armed with horned helmets and brushes covered in red paint!
Check-in/registration will be held outside the RI Convention Center between 9 and 9:45 AM for the 5K. The encierro (Bull Run) starts at 10 AM. Check in for the shorter 1.5 mile route runs from 10 to 10:45 AM, with participants starting at 11 AM. From 11 to 3 PM, everyone is invited to an outdoor after party in Burnside Park with local food, drinks, live music, and activities.
Proceeds benefit Amos House, a nonprofit social services agency that provides direct support services for men, women, and children in Rhode Island who are hungry, experiencing homelessness and in crisis.
Registration costs $35 for adults and $20 for children under 14. Sign up on your own or as part of a team at getforedforgood.org. If you’re not interested in running, consider volunteering instead!
