Join AS220 for an interactive forum on authentic placemaking on Tuesday, October 6th, from 5:30 to 7 PM, in the Peerless atrium, 150 Union Street. Tickets are free, and can be ordered online in advance.
Hear from national leaders in creative placemaking–Myrna Breitbart, Bert Crenca, Andres Duany, and Rick Lowe–who are looking for ways to revitalize urban landscapes and create lively, economic and socially stable, diverse and sustainable environments. They’ll discuss whether the answers lie in the arts, creative communities, cutting edge corporate investment or a combination of ideas.
The forum is sponsored by Robinson+Cole, Bottles, The Dean Hotel, Roger Williams University, Rhode Island School of Design, Brown University, Johnson & Wales University, and the Rhode Island Council on the Humanities.
