Celebrate the 125th anniversary of H.P. Lovecraft’s birth at NecronomiCon Providence! This four-day convention is a tribute to the literary legacy of the Providence-born author who revolutionized the horror and science fiction genres. Organized by the Lovecraft Arts & Sciences Council, it features creative workshops, art exhibits, film screenings, concerts, historic walking tours, games, and special events that encourage people to experience the very places that inspired the writer himself.

On Thursday, August 20th, everyone is invited to Lovecraft’s 125th birthday concert in the Facade lot at 35 Weybosset Street, featuring renowned local act Alec K. Redfearn & the Eyesores, the Big Nazo Intergalactic Band, a Frank Difficult music/video/mashup, a special 10th-anniversary screening of HPLHS’s Call of Cthulhu film, and short film screenings. There will be a beer garden featuring Narragansett Beer (including the very last of the Lovecraft Honey Ale, and plenty of the Olde Innsmouth Ale), plus coffees, cocktails and treats from New Harvest Coffee & Spirits. The lot is directly adjacent to the Providence Arcade, home of the Lovecraft Arts & Sciences store.
