To celebrate National Bike Month, the City of Providence and the RI Bicycle Coalition invite you to join them for Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 15th!
At 7:30 AM, meet up with a group as part of a 1-3 mile train for your ride downtown. Starting points include the Neutaconkanut Recreation Center (Mayor Elorza’s train!), Mount Pleasant High School, Lippitt Park, 4 Roger Williams Park, Wayland Square, and the Coventry Bike Path (intermediate level).
Once you arrive at Burnside Park, enjoy free coffee, food, bike demos, and raffles. Charge up your electronics using the bike-powered charging station, and gather info from local vendors and community organizations.
At the end of the work day, captains will also lead rides home.
Local sponsors include: City of Providence’s Healthy Communities Office, RI Bicycle Coalition, New Harvest Coffee Roasters, Eastside Marketplace, East Coast Greenway Alliance, Greater Kennedy Plaza, Sol Chariots Pedicab Cooperative and the Downtown Parks Conservancy.
