Picturing Providence at the Gallery at City Hall

Gallery@PVDCityHallExhibit_January13thFebruary12th2015_InviteOn Tuesday, February 3rd from 5-7 PM, join Mayor Elorza and the Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism for a special reception to celebrate a new exhibit, Picturing Providence, at the Gallery at City Hall, 25 Dorrance Street. It will remain on view during regular business hours through February 13th.

The exhibit features photographs by RISD faculty member Jesse Burke of the Providence Preservation Society’s 2014 Most Endangered Properties project, an annual photo documentation project intended to generate interest and support for the preservation of significant structures at risk. It also includes work inspired by Providence from Carolina Arentsen, illustrator, painter, and designer and principal of Providence’s Hint Studio, and José Ramirez, a local self-taught visual artist.

The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Visit artsnowri.com for more info.
