InDowncity and Cornish Associates are hosting the Downcity Holiday Social from noon to 6 PM every Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas at Aurora, 276 Westminster Street. The fun begins on Small Business Saturday, November 29th, with drinks, food, films and more!
Take a break from your holiday shopping in the neighborhood, and take Polaroid photos with Santa and his elves. Buy a Bloody Mary or seasonal cocktail from the Aurora bar, and gain access to a complementary bagel bar with plenty of fixings! Kids can warm up with cookies and hot chocolate while writing letters to Santa at the Paperworks station or watching the holiday film series curated by Movies on the Block.
Each week, different food vendors will stop by including Tallulah’s Tacos, Whole Foods Market and Tricycle Ice Cream. Other special activities:
- November 29th: Small Business Saturday. Pick up a complimentary tote bag at Aurora before stocking up at your favorite local Downcity shops and eateries!
- December 6th: Paperworks will guide kids through paper craft activities, and Festival Ballet will perform excerpts from the Nutcracker. Don’t miss the carolers from the WheelerSchool and tacos from Tallulah’s truck!
- December 13th: What Cheer Records + Vintage and the Providence Rock + Roll Yard Sale are bringing unique vendors to Aurora with vinyl records, vintage clothing and accessories, jewelry, DIY handmade goods and more.
- December 20th: Last minute shopping requires plenty of energy. Revive yourself with bagels, drinks, movies and more!
