What started as the Fools Ball in 1995 as an indoor carnival was reinvented ten years later as 20 Fest. Now known as AS220 Foo Fest, this one day street festival transforms Empire Street into a spirited block party for thousands of people!
On Saturday, August 9th, from 1 PM to 1 AM, take in nearly two dozen musical acts including Alec K. Redfearn and the Eyesores, Rich Ferri and the Wealth on the Water, Keith Munslow, Kolour Kult, Samantha Vacation, and Zukrewe on indoor and outdoor stages. Throughout the afternoon, check out more than a dozen artist installations and creative family friendly activities. The whole event wraps up with headlining act PSYCHIC TV, a trailblazer in music, video, and performance art.
Pre-sale tickets are available online through Brown Paper Tickets until 1 PM on Monday, August 4th for just $7. If you order that way, you’ll receive physical tickets in the mail. After Monday, wait to buy tickets at the door for $10. Kids under age 10 are free!
Over age 10, but still want to go for free? Sign up online to volunteer for a 3 hour shift. You’ll receive free admission, a free beer or soda, and a one month pass to AS220’s performance space. For more info, visit as220.org.
