It’s fun to watch movies from the couch at home, but it’s even better to watch them on a large screen, surrounded by friends, neighbors and fresh air!
After the sun sets on Thursday nights this summer, Grants Block becomes an outdoor theater. Movies on the Block kicks off its 17-week run on June 5th with 80’s classic, The Breakfast Club, and ends on September 25th with another favorite from that decade, The Never Ending Story. In between, check out newer films like Moonrise Kingdom and O Brother, Where Art Thou?, along with older ones like Annie Hall and The Wizard of Oz.
All movies are free! Simply pack a picnic, a blanket or some folding chairs, and relax in the park at Westminster and Union streets. Check Facebook often for updates!
