The arts play a major role in Rhode Island’s economy, and we want to do all that we can to support the 1,200 arts nonprofits located here. To promote local cultural offerings, RI Monthly has partnered with the Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism to launch ArtsNowRI, a statewide arts marketing platform. Custom designed by Artsopolis, a firm that has created similar projects for cities including Boston, Nashville, and San Diego, the website allows visitors to easily navigate event listings for more than 500 venues! You can search by keyword, date, organization name or venue to find everything from films, festivals and gallery openings to performances and workshops.
Our website, downtownprovidence.com, filters downtown events listed at ArtsNowRI into our own calendar. You’ll also see links on the city’s website and RI Monthly’s website, along with a mobile app. RI Monthly is generously providing staff support for the site and will promote it through ads, enewsletters, social media and more.
