This winter may seem long, but Providence has plenty of small, toasty places where you can endure the season indoors. In fact, Honeywell Heaters ranked Providence as ‘the 8th coziest city.’ With scoring based on historical ambiance, access to parks, a concentration of coffee shops and other factors, the top 10 list includes beloved cities like Savannah, San Francisco, New Orleans, and (in the #1 spot) Boston.

To celebrate this ranking, the Hotel Providence is hosting a Winter BBQ on Thursday, February 27th, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Join Mayor Angel Taveras and the hotel’s executive chef, who will grill some of their favorite items together. Make sure to layer on your coziest clothes, and grab a warm seat by the outdoor fire pits!

Lunch is just $5 and includes free hot chocolate. A portion of proceeds will benefit the RI Good Neighbor Energy Fund, which offers energy assistance to Rhode Islanders in need.
