Ever wondered about the stories behind the city’s public parks, monuments and schools, named after local veterans? Mayor Angel Taveras, the Department of Art, Culture + Tourism and Providence’s City Archives invite you visit the Gallery at City Hall this month to learn more about these heroes’ lives and legacies.
Mayor Taveras will host a special opening reception for a new exhibit, Honoring Our Neighborhood Heroes: The Stories Behind Providence’s Commemorative Places, on Thursday, November 7th from 3 to 5 PM. The exhibit will remain on view through December 9th, and is open to the public during City Hall’s regular business hours. For more information, visit providenceri.com.
