Check out The Sketchbook Project’s Mobile Library

drawn mobileThe Brooklyn-based Sketchbook Project is rolling into town over the weekend! This summer, the crowd-sourced library will cover 18,000 miles, bringing handmade books to 30 cities including Atlanta, Chicago, both Portlands, and San Francisco. With support from WaterFire and Cornish Associates, Providence is one of the stops on the Even More Mysterious Maps Tour!

On Saturday, June 15th from 2-6 PM, you can visit the interactive mobile library at Grant’s Block on Westminster Street (at Union Street, across from tazza).

Interested in participating? For a $25 basic submission or $60 digitized option, you can fill the pages of a blank sketchbook and send it back to be included in this inspiring art library. The permanent collection now holds more than 27,000 sketchbooks from artists in 135 countries!
