On Saturday, May 18th,* the Environmental Justice League of Rhode Island is hosting the first annual Green DRIVE Bus Pull Challenge! Between noon and 4 PM, watch brave teams compete to pull a 29,000 lb. green DRIVE bus across the rink at the Bank of America City Center. You’ll enjoy family-friendly activities including fitness games and a YMCA inflatable fitness course. Listen to a live DJ and an open mic, and browse through the tables with information about public health and environmental issues.

Through the Green DRIVE Bus Pull and related workshops, the EJ League hopes to raise awareness about Asthma Awareness Month. The bus runs on recycled used cooking oil and locally produced biodiesel to help improve air quality and reduce asthma triggers. For more information, visit ELJRI’s website.
