Spend Time in Kennedy Plaza Every Day!

Since Burnside Park’s reopening in late June, Greater Kennedy Plaza has been bustling with activity. Come see what’s happening, and help us spread the word!

Tuesdays
Through August 28th, 11 am to 2 pm
Bring your children for the FREE Kidoinfo Play in the Park Series! It’s a free-play playground with lawn games, hula hoops, bubbles and more. Visit kennedyplaza.org for the full schedule of activities including open dance classes with Festival Ballet, hands-on activities with Providence Children’s Museum, Brown Bag lunch talks, and historic walking tours. Thursdays
Through August 23rd, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm
Greater Kennedy Plaza is partnering with Kidoinfo on Storytime in Burnside Park from 10:30 to 11:30 am! Bring a blanket and enjoy performances by storytellers, performers, authors and illustrators, featuring several locals like Len Cabral, Keith Munslow, BIG NAZO and Anika Denise. After storytime, experience fun interactive activities at Art in the Park: Providence and the Purple Crayon from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. And don’t forget about the Weekly Book Swap. Donate a gently used book, and take home a new one!

Thursday evenings
Through August 30th, 4:30 to 7 pm
Join us for the 2012 Burnside Park Music Series and Beer Garden! Grab a refreshing drink from Trinity Brewhouse and Revival Brewing Company, and listen to an eclectic group of musicians perform for FREE from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Visit kennedyplaza.org for more details about each show:

Fridays
