Each year, Trinity Rep creates a special theatrical event, America Too, with and for its community about an issue affecting our lives. Each year the topic and performance are different, but the goal remains the same: catalyzing conversation and action by putting the actual stories of our community at the center of the work.

Tickets are now available for our two-night event, America Too: It's Our Health. Join us October 21 or 22 at 7:00 pm in partnership with the Business Innovation Factory for a night of riveting theater based on health and wellness in our community, followed by a discussion based on what was in the show. Each piece that audiences will see in America Too will be based on the stories of Rhode Island citizens.

In the past four years, Trinity Rep’s America Too event has spurred conversation about DACA’s repeal, illuminated our community’s relationship to policing and racism, performed the plays that emerged from the Every 28 Hours movement in Ferguson, Missouri, and performed short stories to spark conversation about the housing crisis in Providence.

The Art Providence Show was created in 2017 to replace RISD\'s well-loved, long-running annual holiday sale upon its cancellation. While maintaining the same location and much of the pre-existing audience, the show differs from RISD\'s in that it is juried and applications are open to all artists/makers/designers working in the included categories – including but not limited to RISD alumni.  The new format has received rave reviews and swiftly gained a reputation for attracting some of the country’s top artists, artisans, and designers. This year\'s show will take place November 8-10  at the RI Convention Center in downtown Providence. It\'s a month earlier than normal, so mark your calendar!

Over 150 artists, makers and designers will be showing and selling their work - including but not limited to RISD alumni, who come from throughout New England and beyond.  In the spirit of similar shows run by the American Craft Council, CraftBoston and other premier art and craft institutions, Art Providence Show artists’ work has been juried by a panel of experts active in art, craft and design. Show categories include ceramics, jewelry, painting, furniture, apparel and more.

By popular demand, we\'ll be bringing back the Local Food Favorites sampling area and the Kids Corner art activity area. A portion the proceeds supports Providence CityArts for Youth.

Whether you\'re a collector seeking new works to add to your collection, an interior designer looking for fresh ideas, or a holiday shopper wanting to get a jump on the shopping season, this show is sure to have something for you.

We look forward to seeing you in November!
