At the end of each summer, the Providence Downtown Improvement District (DID) updates and prints new maps & guides featuring information about how to get around; where to eat, live, shop, and stay; and what to experience while you’re in town. The 2018/19 guides are here, offering tips to help you make the most of your time in downtown Providence. You’ll find business listings and several maps of the downtown area showing you exactly where restaurants, shops, destinations, public transportation, and parking lots are clustered.
The guides include everything from local favorites to the trendiest spots soon to be on everyone’s radar. If you’re interested in the newest places to eat and drink, look for listings for Barnaby’s Public House, Irish Rose Sports Pub, Layali, North, O’Boy, Panza, Pizza Monster, Waffle Providence, and Yoleni’s, along with info about Nico Bella’s new location at 10 Dorrance. Also new in this version: icons on a map showing The Avenue Concept’s spectacular public art installations that you won’t want to miss.
Download a guide, or pick up a copy at the RI Convention Center’s visitor center, hotels, shops, and restaurants throughout the area. For the most up-to-date listings, visit the neighborhood guide on this site.
