Experience the best of the Ocean State without getting in your car! For the third season, Seastreak is operating ferry service between Providence and Newport through Narragansett Bay, offering convenient 60 minute rides every day until October 8th. Ferries leave from the terminal near India Point Park at 25 India Street, which has bike racks, FREE on-site daytime parking for 120 cars, and an overflow lot nearby. From downtown, simply hop on RIPTA’s route 91 bus near stops at the Providence train station, bus stop X in Kennedy Plaza, and the RI Convention Center, which will take you directly to the terminal.
The summer schedule includes peak and off-peak times on weekends and weekdays, in addition to special holiday and WaterFire schedules. Roundtrip tickets are $20 for adults, and $10 for seniors, children ages 3-12, and people with disabilities. Children ages 2 and under are free. Buy tickets online in advance, or check whether they’re sold out when you arrive at the terminal. You can sign up for service alerts online as well.
