Ring in 2018 in Downtown Providence!

This year spend New Year’s Eve in Downtown Providence at the city’s first ever outdoor ball drop. Mayor Jorge O. Elorza, the Department of Art, Culture + Tourism and Skyline at Waterplace are joining forces to present The One Providence New Year’s Eve Celebration on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

“Providence is the perfect place to celebrate the New Year,” said Mayor Elorza. “Residents from across Rhode Island are welcome to join us for another memorable night in the Creative Capital complete with outdoor musical performances in our very own Waterplace Park and fireworks over the City to finish the night.”

All outdoor programming is free and open to the public in Waterplace Park beginning at 7pm. Entertainment includes a laser-light show, a fireworks display and Providence’s first outdoor ball drop at midnight. Finance Way will be closed to traffic to make room for food truck vendors. For those looking for indoor activities, there are options for events including a VIP, black tie option inside Skyline at Waterplace.

Tickets for the different indoor options are available online, all outdoor events are free and do not require a ticket.
Skyline at Waterplace is located at 1 Finance Way, right next to the basin in Waterplace Park.
