On Friday, October 13th, from 6-9 PM, The Shack will host a Jam featuring music by DJ Cathawk and performances by What Cheer Brigade, Cam Bells & Soul 4 Real.

This event venue, food concession, and public space will start operating by One Ship Street on the southern part of Parcel 22 in the I-195 District, adjacent to downtown. Selected through a request for proposals by the I-195 Redevelopment District Commission, The Shack is a partnership led by The Shop, a coffee shop in Fox Point, along with Dune Brothers Seafood, Design Under Sky, and Stay Silent PVD, intended to facilitate placemaking and introduce more vibrancy to the area. The installation features a free-standing food concession trailer next to a patio, lawn, landscaped seating area, and stage for performances. Eventually it will be open for lunch and dinner and will host weekly recurring events for approximately two years.
