Get involved in the Rotary Club of Providence’s Street Painting Festival at the ALEX AND ANI City Center on Saturday, October 14th! This family friendly event started 18 years ago and attracts people from all over the region to watch artists create detailed chalk paintings on the floor of the rink. Vote for your favorites to win the People’s Choice awards by purchasing $1 tokens and placing them in containers nearby. A panel of judges will also select paintings to win cash prizes.

For a fee of $25, you can register as an individual or group artist, noting the age of all participants. Choose a 4’x4′ or 8’x8′ square, and you’ll be assigned a specific space and given artist grade pastel chalk. In order to be judged for a festival prize, your work must be completed by 4:15 PM.

The festival features live music by local schools, a learning area for young artists, and of course, food! Proceeds benefit the Providence Rotary Charities Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that benefits thousands of underpriveleged children in and around Providence.
