From 5-9 PM on the third Thursday of each month, March through November, you’ll have a chance to visit 20 galleries and art spaces throughout the city for free during Gallery Night! Download the guide to explore at your own pace, or take a guided bus tour, leaving from One Regency Plaza at 5:30, 5:50, 6:10, 6:30, and 7:00. Celebrity guides rotate each month, and on March 17th, you’ll enjoy tours with Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza, former gallery owner Joan McGlaughlin, and artist Suzanne Volmer. To celebrate the kickoff of the 20th season, T’s Restaurant and LaSalle Bakery are offering treats to take along for the ride.
From Regency Plaza, you can walk to several participating art spaces downtown: Bank RI Gallery at One Turks Head Place, Copacetic Rudely Elegant Jewelry at 17 Peck Street, and the URI Feinstein Campus Gallery at 80 Washington Street. Also check out these associate galleries in the area: AS220 Main Gallery at 115 Empire Street, AS220 Project Space at 93 Mathewson, and Big Nazo Lab at 60 Eddy Street. Providence Public Library, 150 Empire Street, will also participate as a one-time stop in March only!
