From March 10-13, you’ll have a chance to see performances of WORK IT OUT: the work and labor play at AS220’s Black Box Theater, 95 Empire Street. This is the culminating performance of The Manton Avenue Project’s TAG TEAM program, an afterschool playwriting course held at MAP’s Clubhouse in Olneyville, that gives nine 5th & 6th grade playwrights the opportunity to collaborate on a play about work. Through a partnership with the Coggeshall Museum, The Steel Yard, and the Museum of Work and Culture, they have been learning and discussing the history of work and labor in Rhode Island, and in their own families.
Tickets are pay-what-you-can, and can be reserved online. Shows will be held at 7 PM on Thursday and Friday, and 2 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Find more details at mantonavenueproject.org.
