On Sunday morning, October 19th, join more almost 4,000 participants who have already raised more than $300,000 in Rhode Island! The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a non-competitive 5K (3.1 mile) event that helps to bring a lifetime of change for people facing breast cancer and their families. It is an opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about reducing breast cancer risk, and raise money for the American Cancer Society to fight the disease with research, information and services.
Registration begins at 7:30 AM at the Online Check In and General Registration tents at the Providence Rink. The opening ceremony begins at 8 AM, and the walk begins at 9 AM on Washington Street, adjacent to Burnside Park.
