Providence may feel like Pamplona during Get Gored for Good—an Encierro festival and fundraiser that benefits Amos House. Starting at 11 AM on Sunday April 27th, navigate the 2-mile downtown route by running, walking, rolling or strolling. It’s really up to you how to get from start to finish!
Just watch out for the Roller Bulls! Throughout the route, you’ll be chased by women of the Providence Roller Derby, decked out in horns, carrying red paint brushes, and cheering you on. After crossing the finish line covered in paint, celebrate at an outdoor after party in Burnside Park featuring live music, food and drinks, beginning at noon.
Standard registration is $35 for adults and $20 for children under age 14. Ask your friends and colleagues to support you by donating online as well! For more information, visit GetGoredforGood.org.
