This spring, the URI Feinstein Providence campus is hosting two UrbanScape forums on the role of class, race, and gender in access to urban opportunities. At 7 PM on Wednesday, March 26th, you are invited to the Paff Auditorium at 80 Washington Street for the first program within the series, entitled “Whose City? Reproducing Class, Race and Gender Inequalities in Providence and in Cities Around the World.”
Listen to featured speaker, Jordan T. Camp, PhD, assistant professor of Sociology at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, followed by a discussion moderated by Marc Levitt, including panelists Dr. Michael Fine, director of the Rhode Island Department of Health; Shanna Pearson-Merkowitz, PhD, assistant professor of Political Science at the University of Rhode Island; Barbara Kalil, member of the RI Homeless Advocacy Project; and Akin Ladele, AS220 youth artist.
