Since officially launching last fall, parkdowntownprovidence.com has become an invaluable tool for people who are driving into the city. With its interactive parking map, detailed information about lots and garages, and listing of up-to-date specials, the site informs drivers about their on- and-off-street options before they even arrive.

Sarah Rainwater Design recently enhanced parkdowntownprovidence.com by adding several new features: a news banner on the homepage, an alphabetical directory of lots, and a highlighted roll over feature on the map. It is now fully integrated with the general downtown website, downtownprovidence.com, improving its search capabilities. 

You now have multiple ways to search for downtown parking using the enhanced interactive map. With the Parking Planner tool, you can enter an address or business name into the search field, or click on the Downtown Directory button, which allows for searching by business category. On the left side of the screen, you can now scroll through an alphabetical listing of lots and garages, which corresponds to the blue P symbols on the map. If you’d prefer to click directly on the P symbols on the map, you can still scroll around, with complete parking information appearing in the window. You can also filter your search results by selecting options such as cash or credit cards accepted, overnight parking, or monthly rates available.

To highlight parking options for special events, another new feature—the Parking News banner—appears on the bottom of the homepage as needed.
