On Friday, August 24th, hop on your bike and pedal over to the downtown farmers market at Kennedy Plaza! Farm Fresh Rhode Island, Recycle-a-bike, the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC), Bike Newport and several farmers markets have joined together to offer bike valet, tune-ups, raffle prizes, bike drives and more at markets across the state throughout the week. Come to the downtown market from 11 am to 2 pm to try out the bike-powered smoothie maker!  Red Shed will offer $5 tune ups, and will sign people up for the Woony River Ride. Recycle-A-Bike will also do Bike Valet, and will give away Open Shop vouchers. Don’t forget a basket to bring home fresh tomatoes, corn, eggplant, peaches, nectarines, and greens!
