Tis the season in Downtown Providence! 🎄✨
Our DID team has been out and about spreading holiday cheer, installing wreaths throughout the district and giving downtown that festive glow we all love.
A big thank you to our partners for helping make our city look beautiful this season. The team truly felt like Santa’s helpers getting everything up just in time for Thanksgiving!
You may notice some new, beautiful trash cans downtown! 🗑️

• ✨ 774 bills/stickers removed
• 🌸 284 hours dedicated to watering, we didn’t need it!
• 🚿 34 hours for power washing. 🧽
• 🗑️ 12 tons of trash collected, filling 1,085 trash bags!
• 🎨 151 graffiti tags removed
• 🚶♂️ 691 safety patrols completed to ensure your safety
• 🤝 1261 hospitality assists and 18 safety escorts provided to

Established in 2005, the DID works to improve the physical, economic, and social environment of the area through a range of initiatives and services, including sidewalk cleaning, landscaping, and beautification, public safety programs, marketing and promotion, and community events.
